What are power systems?
In the simplest of terms, power systems create electricity through a variety of ways namely, thermal, hydro-electric and renewable energy which is then usable for domestic, commercial or industrial use. We specialise in the creation and design of these kinds of units for utilities, many different commercial and industrial clients around the world.
Toshiba offers three types, namely;
Hydro-electric power
Toshiba offers bespoke hydro-electrical power systems, pumped storage systems and small/ micro hydro-power generation by providing turbines and generators of all sizes. We design and deliver it all from smaller, micro-hydro equipment to larger, hydro-power systems with remarkable efficiency. Our systems cater to rivers, discharge channels, agricultural and industrial waterways and more. We manufacture all our units at state-of-the-art plants in Japan and China, which are fully compliant with International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC) and other international quality control standards.
Renewable energy
We strive to use renewable energy for a wider range of operations and our geothermal power generation solution is one of the most notable renewable energy systems to date. We are the first Japanese manufacturer to design and manufacture a geothermal steam turbine. At Toshiba, we enlist the expertise of an extensive laboratory and field research team which lead to our success in the modernisation and upgrading of geothermal facilities globally.
